Some healing thoughts for those battling internal demons.

Tonight, I was thinking about how in life, not everyone will understand our hearts, nor our intentions. Conversely, we may not always understand theirs. We will not always be able to control that. Fear not; the Lord knows everything about you.

I was reminded of Psalms 56:8-9 tonight: "Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me."

Are you doing the best you can for where you are right now? Are you working through your pains? Are you treating others fairly? Good. Keep on. Your reward is coming. Don't become your own enemy. Give yourself credit. Work diligently to improve, and throw up the rest that ails you to your higher power. It can only help you to propel further.

Every one of us has the power to catapult ourselves into greatness, but we also have the unfortunate power to create our own personal downward spirals. Choose the former because you have that choice.

Disappointments have the ability to consume our minds and create, well, pure madness. When it seems to much to handle, remember Galatians 6:9: "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." We don't always see the reward at the beginning of a healing path, so faith is of utmost importance.

Breathe in light. Breathe out the unknown and the darkness. Rinse, repeat. Some days are better than others. It's a thing.

Oh, life. Goodnight.

xo,

Lisa Smith ❤
